Enjoy the microclimate of the Bay of Quiberon and kick back on one of Carnac’s 5 beaches: Beaumer, La Grande-Plage, Légenèse, Ty Bihan and St-Colomban.

To make the most of the sea, a free shuttle takes you from the campsite to the beaches in July and August.

Carnac Prehistory Museum boasts one of the biggest collections of European prehistory dedicated to the Neolithic people who built the dolmens and menhirs.

The Prehistory Museum offers a wide range of activities, from guided visits, walks through the megalithic sites, kids’ workshops and demonstrations of prehistoric techniques, to “archaeology initiation” sessions, conferences and temporary exhibitions with discovery games for kids.

Carnac holds a night market in the town every Thursday between 5 July and 6 September from 6pm.

Head to the Accrobranche Park in the Adrenalin forest for fun with friends and family, 9 km from the campsite.

Kids from 2 years and up can challenge themselves to take on the 18 adventure routes and 3 net courses.

Take part in Lorient’s Inter-Celtic Festival, one of the Brittany region’s unmissable yearly events.

The festival is an intertwining of traditional cultures from the islands of Brittany, the British Isles and northern Spain.

With its unique setting, the Carnac equestrian centre offers scenic rides through the megaliths, and – depending on their level – lucky riders get the chance to gallop along the beach.

Classes and courses are available according to riding level.

Carnac surfing school and yacht club offers sailing courses to children from 4 years, teenagers and adults.
